Double the fun!
Last week I had the pleasure of being asked to photograph two beautiful newborn identical twin girls with their gorgeous big brother and lovely Mum and Dad at their home in London. Their home, along with their outside space, made the perfect backdrop to this very special shoot.
When photographing twins I am looking to capture that very special interaction between them, the way they instinctively reach for each other and settle when they are side by side. But it is also important to see twins as individuals so I am also looking to capture the elements that define them individually, each twin’s own emerging personality and little details that tell them apart.
Newborn twins are often on different schedules. The need feeding, burping, changing and settling at different times. The beauty of this is that when one twin is “busy” I can focus on photographing the other twin, capturing that individually. When they are both settled, I can concentrate on capturing the twins together and the special interaction between them. The result is a very relaxed and baby led shoot which can be enjoyed by the whole family.
